Although the best "Thing To Do" in Chicago this specific weekend is to watch us get married, Chicago is arguably one of the greatest cities in the U.S. with plenty of  entertainment, sports, music, and more to offer!

The Second City

Do you like laughing? Go see a show at The Second City! It began in 1959 as a small comedy cabaret and has grown to become the first name in improv and comedy. Ever heard of Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Chris Farley, Tim Meadows, Mike Myers, Steve Carell, Jordan Peele, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Cecily Strong or Stephen Colbert? Well they all started here!

Wrigley Field

If the Cubs are in town during the wedding weekend then go catch a game at iconic Wrigley Field. Or, just go say hi to the stadium then stop by Murphy's Bleachers for a dog and a beer and visit Sluggers to hit some balls in the batting cages. If you have kids under 21 in your group there’s an arcade on the upper level of Sluggers that’s open to all ages.

Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise

Hop aboard and learn about Chicago and its iconic architecture. Make sure you go to the one organized by the Chicago Architecture Center. There are a lot of options but this one is by far the best. This may sound corny and boring but it’s really fun and a great way to see the city. Probably best to save this for a nice day or bundle up because this is not a covered or heated boat ride.

The Art Institute of Chicago

One of the oldest and largest art museums in the world. You can see anything from 18th century Chicago artifacts to Monet’s Water Lilies here. Naomi and Daniel’s personal favorites are all in the impressive impressionist wing.

The Field Museum

State-of-the-art museum of science & invention, with the world’s largest T-Rex and awesome dioramas on animals, bugs, and evolution.

The Bean

Officially named “The Cloud Gate”, Anish Kapoor’s sculpture is worth a visit and a pic. Inspired by liquid mercury, it is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations.

Green City Farmers Market

A Large farmers market full of lots of delicious fresh produce and some tasty snacks. Make an afternoon out of it and go for a walk in Lincoln Park, visit the zoo and then go say hi to beautiful Lake Michigan.

Lake Michigan / Lakefront Trail

If you follow Naomi on Insta you know how obsessed she is with Lake Michigan. It’s big, it’s beautiful, and the perfect place to take a refreshing dip on a hot day. Bike, walk, or run on the 18.5-mile-long lakefront path and take in the views!

Lincoln Park Zoo

This FREE zoo is one of the oldest in the country and home to nearly 200 unique species from around the world. Stop in and say hello to the three new lion cubs while you’re in town. Naomi and Daniel’s favorites are the penguins, monkeys, and lions.
