There are too many years, stories, adventures, laughs, highs, and lows to cover without turning this into a novel, so here’s the abridged version…
We lived in the same dorm freshman year of college at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. After a year of fun, we decided we would be crazy to not give our relationship a shot. On move-in day sophomore year, once again living in the same building, we officially became girlfriend and boyfriend.
After our two years of college together, four of long distance, and six wonderful Chicago years (with a pandemic sprinkled in), Daniel decided to pop the question. During our favorite morning lake walk at 7:20 in the morning on a sleeting 34 degree day with 22 mph winds, Daniel knelt down in a puddle and asked Naomi if she’d like to spend the rest of their lives together. Obviously she said YES! Tears were shed, a freezing cold selfie was taken, and now here we are.
